There are many treatments available for those who have hair loss. While some are more extreme than others, most treatments will have some affect in this war against hair loss. Medical treatments are available that will help minimize hair loss by keeping testosterone from changing into dihydrotestosterone, which is what will cause baldness in some men and some women. The medication used has a few side effects, but has not been linked to any permanent damage. Other medications will attempt to reenergize hair follicles so that they will produce new hair.

If you do not want to take a medication, you can have hair plugs. While this treatment is not new, there have been many improvements in how they are inserted and maintained. Now used on smaller sections of the head, these plugs look natural and do not harm the head in any way. Another method to reduce hair loss is to tighten the scalp by removing excess skin from the head and pulling the hair together to hide the holes. These procedures can be costly, but they can last for many years.

These new treatments can be used by men and women, but they should consult a doctor before trying a treatment just to make sure that their body can handle the changes. Women who are pregnant should not attempt medication to solve the problem. They should wait until after they have their baby. People with heart problems and other issues should consider using other treatments beside medication as the medication could trigger a heart attack or stroke in a person that is not healthy.

In this article I’m going to talk about natural hair growth products. The hair loss industry is a 3.5 billion dollar industry in which there are a few effective solutions and a whole lot of products that will waste your time and money. There are a few prescribed drugs that may show you results such as finasteride otherwise known as Propecia. The reason I wouldn’t recommend this is because of the harsh side sexual, physical, and psychological effects that up to 60% of users will experience. Since most hair products (e.g. Propecia) will require you to be on the medication for the long term (at least 6 months) its not very realistic to add these harsh side effects into your lifestyle for the long of a period. Natural hair growth products are just as effective as these prescribed products, but won’t give you the same sort of intense side effects. Here are the two most popular natural hair growth products and how they stack up against one another.

Procerin

Procerin is a very popular solution that many use to treat their hair loss. If you didn’t know already a by-product of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is what’s the main cause of your hair loss. The binding of DHT to your hair follicles results in the miniaturization and shrinkage of them. The end result is your hair falling out. Procerin works by using natural herbs and vitamins to inhibit DHT from doing this. This will help to stop your hair loss and re-grow your natural hair back. From what I’ve read from most forums, review sites, and general customer feedback, Procerin is effective in treating the large majority of its customers.

Provillus

Provillus is the most popular and most effective solution of all natural hair growth products. It works very similarly to Procerin as it uses herbs and vitamins to block DHT from attaching to your hair follicles. Procerin and Provillus are made up of pretty much the same components except for one key ingredient. Provillus contains Minoxidil while Procerin does not. Minoxidil is an essential ingredient you need for an effective natural hair growth product. It’s the only FDA approved ingredient that has been shown to re-grow your natural hair. Since Provillus contains Minoxidil as well as everything else Procerin contains, this could explain the higher success rates with Provillus. From the research I did, most users saw a bit stronger results using Provillus rather than Procerin. Provillus allowed most of its users to stop their hair loss all together and to re-grow their hair within the 2nd month of using it.

Do you loathe looking into the mirror, despairing at the prospect of having to face the reality of how much your hair has thinned? Are you afraid of combing your hair, lest even more strands fall out? The only thing to do is quit tormenting yourself and seek some hair loss treatment. Remember, hair loss is also a disease like any other, unless you take proactive steps to stop further hair loss, you might even turn bald.

There is no dearth of drugs, lotions, oils and shampoos for the treatment of hair loss. You must be wondering with all the medicines available in the market, which one would suit you best. Without doubt, the best person to guide you in this predicament is a dermatologist. A dermatologist can inform you about the best medicines to take and apply on your scalp to get rid of the problem. The drugs that are commonly prescribed include Procerine, Propecia, Provillus, Rogaine, Triconmin, and Vaniqa. The action of these medicines is revitalizing the follicles of hair, which ensures healthier hair. The hair shaft appears shiny and tangle-free only when sufficient vitamins and minerals are provided to the hair roots through the diet. The function of the drugs is to supply these very essential elements, so that the follicles are rejuvenated and hair loss stops.

The correct diagnosis, of the type and the root cause of your hair loss, is imperative before beginning a hair loss treatment regime. The prognosis should be made by a qualified trichologist.

For Male Pattern Baldness, the medicines of choice are Minoxidil or Rogaine, along with Finasteride or Propecia. This combination has been shown to stimulate re-growth of hair.

The most common treatment to hair loss in women is the use of Rogaine. Moreover, Hormone Replacement Therapies and Spironolactone or similar oral medications are also employed. The type of the hair loss will determine the procedure of treatment.

One thin to keep in mind is that, you should not blindly follow advertisements that are shown on television or magazines. There is no miracle cure for this malady. A continued and scientific therapy is needed to control hair loss.

Do not lose hope if you start losing more hair than is normal. Regular exercise, following a balanced diet, and keeping your scalp clean are few of the basic steps that you need to take in order to stop excessive hair loss. The most important measure to prevent hair loss is following a regular hair-care regimen and maintaining a stress-free life. Only then the medicines will be effective in treating hair loss.

When it comes to researching what products men and women choose to use for their thinning hair, several different sources come into play. Folks might choose to ask their doctor which product is the best one for them, or they might ask their friends and relatives which product they used to get the best results. One source that is almost universally used is the product review. The Internet has allowed people from every walk of life to access hundreds, or even thousands, of product reviews for hair growth products. So, let’s take a look at some of the common criticisms found in Provillus reviews.

One thing that everyone should keep in mind when they are searching for accurate product reviews online is that not everyone takes an honest approach to their review. Some folks may be working for another company and will intentionally slander a perfectly good product. For instance, in some Provillus reviews, writers claim that the product really isn’t all natural. This is, of course, not true. The ingredient list features such all natural compounds as saw palmetto (which is important in all facets of men’s health), all natural biotin, Vitamin B6, zinc, and pumpkin seed, among other ingredients. Every ingredient listed on the label is 100 percent all natural.

A second common mistake made on many Provillus reviews is the idea that you need a prescription to use it. While there are many hair growth products that do require a prescription, such as Rogaine and Propecia, this product is an all natural herbal supplement and does not require a prescription in the United States. It could be that the writer is simply confusing the two products, or they are intentionally trying to make the product less attractive. A few seconds of research reveals the truth about the availability of this all natural hair regrowth formula.

A featured scare tactic you can read in many Provillus reviews centers around privacy and secure ordering. Some people believe that when the product is shipped to your door, it will appear in a box with the product’s name scrawled across the top in big letters, so not only your mailman, but everyone in your neighborhood, will know that you are trying to regrow your hair. The truth is that all shipments are made in plain boxes that do not feature the corporate name. Even your credit card statement is free from any tell-tale signs that you have ordered a hair regrowth product. Privacy is an utmost concern, since the topic of hair replacement is a sensitive one to most people. You can order with confidence, and no one will now you’re successfully regrowing your hair.

Since this product works so well for men who are experiencing male pattern baldness, it is often said in some Provillus reviews that it doesn’t work for women, when the exact opposite is true. One of the most exciting features of this great product is the fact that there is a formula that works wonders for women just as well as the male formula does for men. As many as one in four women suffer from female pattern baldness, and their condition is often even less socially acceptable than the male version. That’s why it is so important for everyone to know that this product works wonders for women, too.

One final mistake you often see in many Provillus reviews is that there is no money back guarantee, when the reality is that there is an excellent 90-day money back guarantee in place, just in case the product doesn’t work for you.

Keep these common misconceptions in mind the next time you go hunting for accurate product reviews online.

I was concerned about a receding hair line about 3 years ago and decided to use the NewHair Biofactors system. I was curious about the claim that it could stop hair loss within one week.

Having researched the company I knew they were not some scam setup here today and gone tomorrow.

Nisim International, the makers of NewHair Biofactors, have been around since 1993 and even had a review in the Medical Post Vol.29 pp61. August 24, 1993 entitled “A Clinical Study On A Natural Organic Extract Solution For the Treatment Of Androgenic Alopecia”. The results published there were quite convincing. (See Resource Box for the link to this article)

The clinical test involved a longitudinal study with 148 male participants with varying degrees of baldness.

Photographs were taken of the participants at the beginning of the study and five months later. Hair counts were also done in a 2.5 cm circular section of the balding area.

The results showed 85.7% of the participants had an increase in their terminal hairs of 30% or more. 40.8% of the participants had an increase of 100% or more.

The NewHair Biofactors System

The Shampoo

The NewHair Biofactors System consists of a Scalp Cleansing Shampoo and a Hair Stimulating Extract.

The shampoo is deep cleansing, formulated to help create a nutrient rich environment for healthy hair growth. The shampoo has been developed and tested to work in harmony with the NewHair Biofactors Hair Stimulating Extract. The shampoo is the first step in the system.

However, the shampoo can also be used as a stand alone product. The shampoo is so effective in controlling hair loss Nisim guarantees hair loss will be controlled within a week or the customer gets their money back.

The Hair Stimulating Extract

The second step of the system is the Hair Stimulating Extract, a natural herb extract which is designed to maximize the natural growth cycle of the hair.

A word of explanation regarding these herb extracts is helpful as the strength of Nisim’s claims lies in these herbal extracts.

The double extracted procedure used by Nisim’s laboratories ensures that the extract contains both water soluble components and the odd numbered (13, 15 and 21) carbon chains of essential fatty acids.

The extractable portion of the various herbs also contains complex polysaccharies along with other essential nutrients necessary to maintain and promote healthy hair growth.

The saw palmetto extract contains cyclic ringed carbons that prevent damage to the scalp that can lead to hair loss.

The herbals NewHair Biofactors uses have been selectively analyzed to be small enough to penetrate specific areas of the cells and then into the hair.

A unique microencapsualtion and microemullsion system allows for maximum results in minimal time.

Sulphur Containing Amino Acids: The sulphur containing amino acids cystine, cysteine, and methionine are incorporated to supply the hair and underlying matrix with the essential building blocks for healthy hair growth and renewal.

Panthenol: Provitamin B5 nourishes and encapsulates the hair providing strength and support.

Inositol: A cyclic sugar alcohol that supplies energy to the hair and underlying matrix.

Biotin: A B vitamin necessary and essential for optimizing healthy hair growth.

Natural Vasodilators: Nitroxide compounds that can increase the peripheral circulation of the scalp allowing for the essential amino acids and other nutrients to be utilized by the hair and scalp.

Conclusion: I am happy to report that my receding hair line stopped. I continue to use NewHair Biofactors to maintain a healthy head of hair. The shampoo is excellent in preventing the buildup of sebum in the hair follicle which leads to hair loss.

In this article I’m going to give you the last review if your are thinking about purchasing provillus. I’m going to rank it with the other popular hair loss treatments in the market and see how it fairs. I know that there are a ton of products in the hair loss industry that will be both a waste of your time and energy using. Described below is the research I did to see if Provillus was one of those products.

Other Hair Loss Product

How does Provillus compare with other products? Many people use prescribed drugs such Propecia to block DHT from stopping the growth of your hair follicles. Although they may show you results, the negative effects far are extremely hard to deal with when you are on the medication. These types of drugs require you to be on them for the long term so its unrealistic to have to add side effects into your lifestyle such as a loss of sex drive, inability to achieve an erection, or fatigue.

A similar hair loss treatment to Provillus is Procerin. They are very similar in what they are made up of except for one important ingredient. Procerin does not contain Minoxidil which is the only FDA approved ingredient that has been clinically shown to regrow your hair naturally. Provillus takes advantage of Minoxidil which is what separates it from many of its competitors.

There are other similar products like Provillus that give the same sort of results such as a product called Scalp Med. The reason I wouldn’t go with Scalp Med is because its a lot more expensive than Provillus even though it gives the same sort of results.

The Verdict

Provillus is one of the best hair treatment solutions you use to help treat your hair. It won’t show you any of the negative effects that many prescribed medicine show, it contains Minoxidil which many of its competitors don’t contain, and it’s a lot more affordable than many products that give the same sort of results. I would highly recommend Provillus because it will show you the sort of results you are looking for at an affordable price.

There are several reasons for hair loss in women, but it can be devastating. However, in most cases, treatment is quite effective. Female hair loss patterns in women are not as easily recognizable as they are in men. A woman may experience it temporarily due to pregnancy or illness. However, women may experience it for other reasons. Two of the most common types of hair loss, androgentic alopecia and alopecia areata, can be treated successfully by a doctor.

Hair loss can be due to a variety of factors, including a genetic tendency (which is not genetically linked to just one parent – both parents contribute to the tendency to lose hair). Additionally, it is not generally linked to hormonal issues, nor is it linked to using hair color, bleaching hair, perming or teasing the hair. Wearing a hat may rub some spots and encourage loss in that area, but if you leave the hat off, the hair will grow back.

At this time, the only drug that is an approved female balding treatment is Minoxidil.

In the case of alopecia due to a thyroid condition, some doctors do not believe in treating because the 1) the condition is not considered to be medically dangerous and 2) remission of the problem will result in hair growth in most of the cases.

Women who are experiencing hair problems seem to have more limited options than men. There are some female hair loss treatments that are available such as the Tricomin System which is a topical treatment that is nutrition based. Shen Min for Women is another natural treatment that contains herbs that are said to stimulate hair growth and even restore hair that is graying to its natural color.

The majority of the popular, proven hair loss treatments is only formulated for men and are not suitable for women. True, a woman’s hair issue is different from a man’s. The biological makeup is different and the needs are different. Women have different needs and their bodies react in different ways to environmental stressors, physical illness and even the treatments that are available. There are many natural treatments as well as vitamin and mineral supplements that are said to stimulate hair growth, but, for the most part, these claims are currently unproven. The research and testing does not appear to be as prevalent for female products as there are for male hair loss products.

One of the first and most important factors to effectively treating it is to get a diagnosis from a doctor. Talk to your doctor about any symptoms that you may be experiencing in addition to the thinning hair. Stress, weight loss or gain, illness and depression as all of these can be contributing factors. A doctor can tell you what is causing you to lose your hair and give you a direction for treatment, including referral to a dermatologist if necessary. This is vital to getting the best and most effective treatment available to you.

Does baldness affect the way you relate with other people? Do you feel less attractive because of hair loss? Thousands of people suffer from hair loss. Are you one of them?

A number of treatments are available for anyone suffering from hair loss. Natural hair loss treatments have become increasingly popular and a first choice for most people. The reason why the current trend is moving away from conventional pharmaceutical remedies for hair loss is that most people are not willing to risk the possible side effects associated with these medications and products. Another reason is the high expense involved.

In the early stages of hair loss a natural approach is often all that’s required. A number of natural products are available on the market today that combine herbal and nutritional hair growth ingredients that are very effective and clinically proven to stop hair loss and enable re-growth.

Nutrients such as zinc, magnesium, biotin, iron, vitamin B12 … and herbs such as nettle and saw palmetto are the most commonly used natural nutrients to treat hair loss. Saw Palmetto is proven to stop the production of DHT, which converts testosterone into a chemical that can lead to hair loss. In addition to taking saw palmetto internally, it can be taken externally. In orally ingested supplement form, saw palmetto extract blocks the production of DHT throughout the entire body. In topical solution, the extract blocks the production of DHT only in the scalp area.

A seldom talked about yet effective herb used in the prevention of hair loss is green tea. The catechins present in green tea inhibits a particular enzyme found in the body that converts testosterone into another chemical that can lead to hair loss. Because of its properties, green tea is especially recommended to males that are experiencing male pattern baldness to prevent further hair loss and to hinder the body from converting the testosterone into a harmful chemical. Meanwhile, some people also use the he shou wu herb. This herb has been traditionally used by the Chinese to prevent hair loss and it is now becoming increasingly popular in Western countries. This herb may be taken in tea or capsule form depending on your preference.

Having a full head of hair is the dream of many people who are currently experiencing hair loss. Hair loss also affects a person’s social and psychological well-being because it causes a lack of self-confidence. However, people affected by baldness should not lose hope because there are many natural hair loss remedies that are now available.

In this article I’m going to give reviews of Procerin. When I was looking for a hair loss treatment product, it was a difficult process. There were so many options available I didn’t know which one to go with. I kept seeing Procerin brought up in many sites and I looked into even further. It was ranked high on most review sites and given positive feedback from most users. Naturally I was curious if this stuff was a scam or if it actually came through with what it advertised. I did even more research on Procerin and found some interesting facts. Afterwards, I wrote reviews of Procerin, I hope this will help you to make the proper steps to treat your hair loss.

How It Works

Procerin works by blocking DHT in your scalp. As you know, DHT is the main reason why you are losing hair. DHT gets a hold of a hair follicles, cuts of their blood supply, and stops any new growth which ultimately makes the fall off. There are many hair loss products that inhibit DHT from doing this, and stop the production of any new DHT. Products differ in how they actually accomplish this and of course, how effective they are in doing so. Procerin has received a lot of buzz because it blocks DHT without reacting with testosterone (as most prescription drugs). This will help to stop your hair loss and promote regrowth without dealing with the sexual side effects of prescription drugs (Propecia). Many past Propecia users have switched to Procerin because they couldn’t deal with the side effects such as a loss of sex drive, inability to have an erection, decrease in seamen count, and loss of energy.

The Verdict

I thought that it was a huge plus that you can have just the results as prescription medicine, without dealing with the harsh side effects. That’s all great in theory but I wanted to know if Procerin actually showed users results. From emailing Procerin users, reading other reviews of Procerin, and reading general user feedback, it was apparent that the majority of users saw results in stopping hair loss and regrowth. To user Procerin, you have to take tablets in the morning and night and apply the topical solution as well. It seems those that it didn’t work out for couldn’t keep up with the schedule, which to me seems pretty easy. So in conclusion for my reviews of Procerin, if you are responsible and consistent with taking the formula, it can give you the tools to stop your hair loss and regrow you hair. Its the most realistic way to find the sort of results you are probably looking for.

Hairloss is a troubling condition for anyone suffering from it. The problem with hairloss is that it can appear overnight with no apparent cause. For some people it’s a gradual process and for others it’s far more rapid with the first noticeable appearance of hairloss sometimes happening almost overnight. For years there was nothing much you could do about about hairloss except maybe get a hairpiece to cover up the problem. Fortunately times have changed and there’s lots of information on hair regrowth products available and you should be able to find a solution to your hairloss problem that works for you fairly easily.

The type of hair regrowth product you’ll wind up using will depend on the cause of your hairloss in the first place. If your hairloss is caused by genetic causes (you inherited it from a parent) then you can take a look at the over-the-counter and prescription treatments used to cause this type of hairloss.

If your hairloss has other causes such as stress, chemical imbalance or an allergic reaction then you’ll need to get advice from a trichologist or your family doctor first to find the cause of the problem itself. For example if your hairloss is caused by stress then removing the cause of the stress will correct it with little or no medication needed. Always get the advice of a medical professional before starting any type of hairloss treatment.

So what are the most common hair regrowth products on the market?

Minoxidil

This is the great grandpappy of all hairloss treatments and was first introduced about 20 years ago. Minoxidil is also known as Rogaine/Regaine and is manufactured by a company called Upjohn. When it first came onto the market it looked like minoxidil would be the answer to the prayers of hairloss sufferers all over the world.

The issue is that minoxidil alone can’t regrow hair on a totally bald head (it can be used in conjunction with other treatments to achieve this though) and is designed to be used by men although there is a female version of Rogaine also available.

Minoxidil is available in strengths of 2% – 15% and is usually available over the counter in a liquid format. Do seek a doctors advice before you start to use Rogaine though – it can have some side effects. Never take Rogaine orally (drinking it or taking it in tablet form as minoxidil).

Spironolactone

This drug is normally used to treat hirsuitism (excessive body hair) in women but during tests it appeared to have the opposite effect on men where it helped to regrow hair in certain test subjects. To treat hairloss spironolactone should be used topically in a very low concentration. A trichologist or doctor will be able to help you with the correct dosage and also to check if the treatment is suitable for you. Men should never take spironolactone orally (in tablets).

Finasteride

This product is also known as Propecia and was the first medication released that deals with hairloss at its source – in the scalp tissue itself. Up to this point all hairloss treatments were lotions or creams that were applied to the scalp. The problem with this is that some of the hair regrowth treatment would evaporate during application or get soaked up by existing hair and basically be wasted. Finasteride gets right into the blood stream and combats hairloss from the inside out.

Initial trials with this product were very promising and when it’s used with Rogaine it can provide a real 1-2 punch to hairloss with many users regrowing most (sometimes all) of the hair they’ve lost. Finasteride again is designed to be used only by men.

Finasteride should only be bought on prescription through your doctor – there’s a lot of fake finasteride floating around online but most of those online stores have now been shut down by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) in the US. You still have to be careful where you buy it so make sure it’s on prescription only.

Dutasteride

Also known as Avodart this is the all new and improved version of finasteride with literally double the stregth of the original so it’s the next step in tablet based treatment for hairloss. Unfortunately this drug was never released properly to the market even though it showed great promise. One theory is that drug may have been too effective and would have prevented the manufacturer from making the massive profits they’re making with finasteride (which is weaker and needs to be take more often).

The last trials for this product were run in 2006 and there seems to be no hope of it being released for public use anytime soon.

Other treatments

There are dozens if not hundreds of other treatments on the market for hairloss but you need to be very careful if you choose to buy and use any of them. The vast majority (if not all) of these treatments have no clinical research to back them up. Some of them are just a hodge podge of herbs and alcohol in a bottle which will do nothing for your hairloss. Always look for testimonials and photographic results that the treatments produce – if it’s so effective then the manufacturer should have dozens of photographs to prove this. If the treatment sounds too good to be true and looks too good to be true then it probably is too good to be true.

There is a hair regrowth product available that can help with your hairloss problem – now it’s just a matter of choosing the right one.
